How to Play the Native American Flute with Cloudsong

I have always drawn to the Native American culture from a young boy due to its relationship to nature, I witnessed how living with nature you grow to have so much of an understanding with it - you become part of it. Having a natural instinct for making items from the Native American's way of life and sharing them world wide, the Flute was a continuation of a path for me to follow, and so I taught myself how to play.

By way of thinking from the heart and being a visionary I have become a conduit in feeling the emotions that appear before me. Please join me for this workshop as I share my gifts and understanding of this beautiful instrument with you.

12.15 - 1.00
Laughter Meditation with Joe Hoare

A gentle embodied relaxing approach to laughter yoga and laughter meditation.

Oprah wrote: "Laughter Yoga combines laughter with yogic breathing exercises. It is a perfect way to laugh and get exercise at the same time. It approaches laughter as a body exercise so it's easy to laugh even if you're depressed or in a bad mood.
Last year I highlighted Laughter Yoga on my TV program. I've tried it, and it works."

My own personal wake-up changed my life forever, in one ripping instant. I realised from that spiritual catharsis that my life was one of service, and all my endeavours have been directed to that end ever since (1991). Even in the most corporate team-building and conference environments my agenda has always included encouraging people to connect with their good-natured, creative individuality and perform better not just for themselves but for a bigger picture for the good of all. And it works.

Following that thread, my personal development work is about empowerment: helping people wake up, come alive, be the best they can be, and enjoy the ride. Because this enjoyment is contagious, it gives others permission to enjoy the ride too. It stimulates qualities like connection & kindness, and its ultimate effect is to enhance people's experience of being alive, for the benefit of all.

I do this through courses, workshops, Retreats and one-to-one sessions. I do it however it works best, and find that the right people always attend the right session.

Professionally I have been running meetings, delivering conference sessions and providing workshops for over 30 years. My clients range from the international blue-chip companies (such as Kraft, Bank of Ireland, Novo Nordisk, Lloyds, Continental Airlines), to universities and colleges (including Bristol, Dundee, U.W.E, Cheltenham Science Festival), to charities and the Healthcare sector (Housing Associations, the NHS, Oxfam, NACTHPC, and others), and to the very experiential end of the spectrum like Glastonbury Festival.

In 2006 I set up the UK's Laughter Facilitation course, to teach others how to use this material. In 2000 I co-authored 'The Holistic Workspace', and in 2013 'Awakening the Laughing Buddha within' with the Barefoot Doctor.

The Way of the Druid with Dr Alan Jones

Who were the druids?
What do we really know about them and their practices?
Can we think of them as Celtic Shamen?

This talk will cover some key ideas gleaned from history as well as how this path can be revived in a meaningful way to allow people to experience an earth-based spirituality.

Expect to be informed and perhaps a little challenged. We will engage in what could be called a Druidic Mediation in which the spirit of inspiration, The Awen, can be invoked for use by all those who choose to long after the workshop has finished.

Alan is an Arch Druid within the Reformed Druids of Gaia and through the Cornwall School of Mystery and Magick shares some of the teachings that can
be considered as being part of the Druid Revival Movement.

Relationships! Make a Change with Elizabeth Pritchard
Really feel it. See yourself through the eyes of your partner, friend, or foe. Gain a new perspective, and use it. 'Never be stuck again'

This is a useful NLP* exercise for exploring a relationship you’d like to understand better...make a change in...or have some practical help with...

I’ve found a couple of videos which help explain it:

Gives you an idea, except that I like to use 4 positions rather than 3, and I don’t think of Position 3 in quite the same way as this presenter does. Nevertheless, the broad idea is there.

We add in more steps than you can see in this exercise, deepening the experience and testing new behaviour more fully. Again, only 3 positions shown.
*Notes: Neuro Linguistic Programming:

‘NLP stands for 'Neuro Linguistic Programming' and has been around since 1970's when its founders, Richard Bandler, Frank Pucelik and John Grinder first modelled other therapists. NLP is often known as the "user’s manual for your mind" and studying NLP gives us insights into how our thinking patterns can affect every aspect of our lives. It looks at the way in which we think and process our thoughts (Neuro), the language patterns we use (Linguistic) and our behaviours (Programming) and how these interact to have a positive (or negative) effect on us as individuals.

NLP is a collection of a wide range of methods and models which create an understanding of thought process and behaviour. Understanding these techniques can bring about a positive change in you and others.’

ANLP-UK Association 07796 048755 elizabeth8@zeteticmind.com

I teach Certified 10 Day NLP Practitioner Trainings in Bristol and Cornwall. There are also introductory days (NLP in a Day) available in both locations and I do Personal Strategy™ work with individuals and groups.

When people ask me how I got into ‘all this’, I take ‘all this’ to be my interest in the inner lives of myself and other people. When I was 16, Julie and I escaped games lessons to read poetry behind the coats in the cloakroom at Bath Convent. We’d also stay up all night sometimes - talking and wanting to understand things about how life worked. Julie went on to become an artist and I went to Manchester University to study English & American Literature. Why American? Because some of the American poets seemed to say it in a real way about that internal experience I was getting very excited about. Why Manchester? Because I came from a farm in Wiltshire and I’d seen Coronation Street on TV, and I thought that people Up North were sort of gritty, direct and honest.

Back in Wiltshire after University, I became an English teacher, and signed up for an Introduction to Counselling course in Trowbridge. This time the people exploring thoughts and feelings were not friends, just people who’d signed up to the course. I was fascinated, and, of course, carried on ‘talking deep’ to my friends as well. Then Colin came to rent a room at the farm. There was something very direct about the way he talked to people. I was fascinated - again - and determined to find out what it was, what he’d done. He’d done one of the Large Group Awareness Trainings of the early 80s. This meant even larger groups of people talking about deep stuff. I was even more fascinated.

Eventually a business grew out of this seminar – window cleaning was considered but telephone marketing was chosen. This meant that I was now studying ‘all this’ full time, and I did for 14 years. Now, my partner Joseph and I work in this way full time, and continue training and collaborating with other people. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was introduced into our telephone marketing business in 1984, and we studied it alongside other communication and personal development methodologies. Our business trained over 400,000 people in telephone sales and over 100,000 in management skills.

Following over thirty years of NLP training - and 6250 formal training hours on my part alone, with the founders and global leaders - Joseph and I began to offer our own NLP Certification Courses in 1999.

Group Sound Healing Journey with
Belén Prado

This sound healing session is designed to take you to a state of deep relaxation which allows the body to restore its natural frequencies. By taking people to a relaxed and calm state, we are allowing their self-healing mechanisms to be activated, with the possibility of recovering health if this state is maintained long enough. During the session you will listen to several instruments such as singing bowls, bells, koshi chimes, Native American flutes, shamanic drum and voice.

Belén Prado a sound therapist, a Native American flute teacher and a wellbeing coach. She also believes in the importance of connecting with nature for healing and she organises community activities with this aim. She has been playing the Native American flute for over 8 years and she could experience the beneficial effects of it. Her interest for the healing potential of sound grew when she started to play the flute at sound journeys and meditation sessions in Bristol, and she finally decided to train as sound therapy. She also gives one to one sessions where she mainly uses tuning forks, a powerful tool that fascinates her. You will find more information at her website: www.natural-tuning.com. "
